‘Breaking free’ is an essay about typography breaking away from the page and into art in streets and in painting etc. This essay needed to remain readable while portraying the content, so I designed a book where the text was angled and sometimes side on meaning the book need to be turned in order to gain access to the text. The title pages have the text running off the page, giving the illusion that the text appears to be breaking free from the page.
